Statement of Disusing Conflict Mineral
Baienwei understands that the production activity and its products may have an impact on the society and environment. In order to shoulder corporate social responsibility, our company hereby promises:
1. The metals used or included in all products or components delivered by our company have no“conflict minerals” (see note 2 for definition) from Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries (see note 1 for definition) as well as any control region of armed forces in these countries.
2. Our company will truthfully fill in and reply the survey about “conflict minerals” and provide other information as required, and promise the authenticity, accuracy and integrity of replied content and offered information.
3. Our company promises to build complete conflict minerals policy, management system and survey framework inline with guidelines published by relevant regulations (including but not limited to Article 1502 in American Dodd-Frank Act) and relevant organizations(such as OECD or EICC), and to request the suppliers of our company according to the same standard.
Note 1:Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries include: (a) Democratic Republic of Congo, The Republic of Congo, Sudan,Southern Sudan, The Republic of Uganda, The Republic of Rwanda, The Republic of Burundi, United Republic of Tanzania, The Republic of Zambia, The Republic of Angola and Central African Republic; (b) New countries (regions) including partial or total territory of above-mentioned countries in the future as well as existing countries (regions).
Note 2: “Conflict minerals” include but not limited to rare metals of cassiterite, wolframite, coltan, gold and theirderivatives, especially raw metals of Au, Ta, Su and W from Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries as well as any control area of armed forces in these countries. “The metals used or included have no “conflict minerals”from Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries as well as any control area of armed forces in these countries”includes that the digging, smelting, molding and other manufacturing procedures of metals don’t occur in Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries as well as any control area of armed forces in these countries.
