The Microstructure of Rapid Solidification Alloys
Rapid solidification is a further optimization on basis of spray forming process(also called spray deposition).
The Advantages of Rapid Solidification Technology.
Equiaxed grain, average size is within 10μm.
No macro segregation,formation is homogeneous.
The density of aluminum is up to 99.2%.
Clean organization, low Oxygen content, alloy elements concent breaking through the limit.
Reduce the porosity and break the discontinuity between layers
Producing AlSi alloys by conventional casting process, macro segregation occurs easily. The microstructure of primary silicon and eutectic silicon is coarse and average grain size is 100-200μm, these factors leads to the materials with poor toughness and ductility are difficult to be machined. Therefore, AlSi alloys of more than 18% Si content can not be produced by conventional casting process. AlSi alloys produced by Baienwei rapid solidification technology(Si content is up to 80%) have equiaxed and homogeneous grains(average grain size is 10μm), high surface roughness and no macro segregation, which greatly enhance the comprehensive performance of materials.
Baienwei adopts advanced rapid solidification technology to produce aluminum alloys, the materials are homogeneous and stable, widely used in electronics field, such as package housings, carriers, substrates and lids etc, having a better compatibility and heat dissipation to prolong the working life of high power modules.
